Your Brand, Built Into the Board: Three New Logo Placements

— Breaker Labs

Your logo has had two homes on a break board: tucked into the footer bar, or floating over the grid as a watermark. Both work. Neither is what you'd design if you were putting a shop name — or a paying sponsor's name — in front of a few hundred people for two hours.

Three new placements ship today, and all three give the mark real estate instead of leftovers.

Header Rail

A full-width band across the top of the board, with your logo and a line of copy.

The important part is what it doesn't do: it does not take space from your teams. Turning it on grows the board's canvas by exactly the rail's height, so every team card stays the size it already was. A 30-team MLB grid looks identical below the rail to how it looked before you added one.

There are five sizes, from a 36px strip to an 88px banner. Here's the smallest, on the same board:

The copy beside the logo defaults to Presented By and is yours to change — up to 40 characters. Clear it out entirely and you get a clean logo-only rail, which is often the right call for a wordmark that already says who you are.

Side Sponsor Rail

A vertical column down the left or right edge, logo stacked under the copy.

This one behaves the opposite way to the Header Rail, on purpose. It lives inside your existing board width rather than growing it, so your OBS source dimensions don't change at all — the rail takes its width from the grid and the cards get a little narrower. If you've already got your board framed exactly where you want it in your scene, a side rail won't move anything.

That trade has a floor. On a heavily constrained or manually-sized board, if there isn't room for a properly proportioned rail and a usable grid, the rail simply doesn't draw rather than squeezing in as an unreadable sliver. Give it width and it appears.

Claimed Card Brand

Your mark replaces the face of every card that sells.

A break board where three claimed cards carry the shop's brand and the buyer's name

This is the one that changes how a board reads over a long break. An empty board is all team logos. As spots go, your brand fills in behind them — so the longer the break runs and the better it sells, the more of the screen is yours. By sellout, the board is a wall of your logo.

It's an exclusive treatment: it takes over the claimed-card look rather than layering on top of whichever taken treatment you had selected. Buyer names still sit above it and stay readable — if you're running claim attribution, names get the pill treatment automatically so they read against artwork instead of getting lost in it.

Picking between them

Rough guide:

  • Header Rail — the most prominent, and the only one that makes the board taller. Best for a paid sponsor slot, or a shop logo you want visible in every clip someone cuts from your stream.
  • Side Sponsor Rail — the least disruptive. Best when your scene is already laid out and you don't want to re-frame anything.
  • Claimed Card Brand — the most subtle at the start of a break and the loudest at the end. Best for your own shop rather than a sponsor, because it rewards a board that sells out.

They're placements of the same logo, so you pick one. Switching between them is a dropdown, not a re-upload.

The small stuff

  • The board's canvas changes when you add a Header Rail. If you've already added the widget to OBS, hit Add to OBS again from the Command Center — it updates the existing browser source in place and keeps your scene transform and filters.
  • Every size is a real size. Rail height, rail width and card fill all scale with your size setting, and the logo is fitted to whatever's left after the rail's own border and padding, so nothing gets cropped on stream.
  • Your existing footer and overlay placements are untouched. If your logo sits in the footer today, it renders exactly as it always has.
  • Themes won't move your logo. Applying a curated theme can restyle a lot of your board, but it won't relocate a mark you've put in a rail or overwrite the rail copy you typed.

Getting started

Open a Team Tracker widget, go to the Logo panel, and upload a mark if you haven't already. Placement now lists Footer, Header Rail, Side Sponsor Rail, Claimed Card Brand and Overlay. Pick one, set a size, and the preview shows you the board you're about to stream.

All three placements are Pro features, included in your subscription.
